PT Bumi Konawe Minerina, a subsidiary of Aquila Nickel Group, has officially implemented the Regulatory Compliance System (RCS) from Hukumonline as part of its efforts to enhance legal compliance and corporate governance in the increasingly regulated nickel mining industry.
The launch of the system was marked by a Go-Live Regulatory Compliance System ceremony in Jakarta on August 12, attended by the board of directors of Aquila Nickel Group and the management team of Hukumonline.
As regulatory demands in the mining sector grow more complex, the adoption of digital tools like the RCS has become essential for companies aiming to meet legal obligations in a structured and efficient way. The system is seen as a key foundation for Aquila Nickel Group’s broader commitment to world-class governance and sustainability practices.
"The implementation of the Regulatory Compliance System (RCS) is an integral part of our commitment to conducting nickel mining activities responsibly, transparently, and in full legal compliance. Through this system, all legal obligations can be managed in a structured, documented, and timely manner to support the application of best practices in the governance of the mining industry in Indonesia,” said Dmitry Privalov, Chief Executive Officer of Aquila Nickel Group.
Privalov added that responsible operations and regulatory compliance are crucial in building credible partnerships and advancing the transition to sustainable energy. “We believe that digital-based compliance management is not merely an administrative obligation, but the foundation for integrity and innovation that strengthens business resilience,” he said.
Muhammad Zainuddin Noor, Project Manager for the RCS implementation at Aquila Nickel Group, emphasized the regulatory burden faced by the mining industry, noting that companies must navigate more than 6,000 legal obligations from both central and regional governments.
“This platform greatly assists us in ensuring regulatory compliance on a priority basis and building trust with regulators, business partners, and the public,” said Zainuddin. He also highlighted features such as the accurate translation of regulations into English as a valuable asset for ensuring clarity and compliance.
Arkka Dhiratara, Chief Executive Officer of Hukumonline, described the collaboration as a strategic milestone in corporate governance. “More than just implementing a digital system, this collaboration is an important milestone that reflects Aquila Nickel Group’s leadership vision and commitment to building a corporate culture that is law-abiding, responsive to regulatory changes, and sustainable,” he said.
With the RCS now fully integrated into Bumi Konawe Minerina’s operations, the company expects to streamline the fulfillment of legal obligations, boost operational efficiency, and embed a stronger culture of legal compliance across the organization.
