LSE-listed Bumi plc reported that in line with its stated intention of restructuring its board, the mining outfit has commenced the search for a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Scott Merrillees, the current CFO who is based in Indonesia, will focus on his role as CFO of subsidiary Berau Coal and will not seek re-election at the company's 2012 AGM on 26 June 2013 at which time he will stand down as CFO of the company.

"This announcement is consistent with our commitment to restructure the plc Board. I thank Scott for his contribution as CFO to the company," said Nick von Schirnding, chief executive of Bumi in a statement obtained Tuesday.
