Indonesian coal miner PT Bumi Rantau Energi stated to be affected by the declining coal prices, recently reported to revise its coal production plan of 4.5 millions tons in 2012. A company source told Petromindo.com that the revision of production plan will be discussed in a meeting during the following weeks.
"There are so many delays on the coal delivery since the market is bearish," the source said without telling the new target of the production revision plan.
He, however, admitted that up to the second quarter of 2012, the company failed to meet the coal production target.
The company initially targeted to produce 4.5 millions tons of low rank coal from its mine in Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan. The company's output in the previous year was up to 3 million tons which was mostly exported to China, India and Thailand.
