Bumi Resources asked to make ?public disclosure?

The management of the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) has asked publicly listed energy-based company Bumi Resources to make a public disclosure to clarify certainties related to the company?s investments and internal funds, Suara Karya reported on Saturday.

The head of the exchange?s monitoring team, Yose Rizal, said in Jakarta on Friday that Bumi Resources should made a public disclosure or (an explanation to public) within 10 days. During the public disclosure, the company should clarify a number of uncertainties related to oil exploration projects in Yemen and in Sambidoyong, West Java.

In addition, Yose Rizal said that Bumi Resources should also explain investors about its recent actions to sell its hotel in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and its plan to buy shares in coal mining company PT Arutmin Indonesia.

Earlier reports said that Bumi Resources plans to transfer the concession rights of its Block R-2 and B12 oil fields in Yemen. The company also said that it has sold its hotel in Uzbekistan. (*)
