IDX-listed coal giant PT Bumi Resources Tbk said that coal production this year is targeted to be at least the same as last year?s realized output of about 80 million tons.
Dileep Srivastava, Director at Bumi Resources told Petromindo.com on Thursday that the company is targeting around 60-65 million tons from KPC and around 20-30 million ton from Arutmin.
"Last year we were able to produce around 80 million tons and this year we are targeting to produce at least the same as last year?s level," he said, adding that the company has a capacity to produce more than 90 million tons of coal.
"But the problem is the market and the coal price, it (production) depends on the market," he said. "We can produce more actually, but the realistic production amid this coal market condition is around 80 million tons," he said.
