Bumi Resources sells 5.5m tons in January

IDX-listed coal mining giant Bumi Resources recently stated it sold about 5.5 million tons of coal throughout the January period of 2013. The company's Director and Corporate Secretary Dileep Srivastava told Petromindo.com that of the amount, as much as 35 percent of the coal was produced by Arutmin and 65 percent by KPC.
"The coal were sold to China, Japan, India and also Indonesia," he said, adding that the company sold them at much better prices compared to the same period in the previous year. Dileep, however did not disclose the details.
Dileep revealed that the company is expecting to increase sales volume by 10 percent compared to 2012's sales. He said that Bumi sold about 67 million tons of coal in 2012 from the total production of 72 million tons.
"We are targeting to sell between 74 and 75 million tons of coal in 2013, from the production output of 78 million tons," he said.
