IDX-listed coal giant PT Bumi Resources Tbk said that coal production in January of this year is estimated to reach 7-8 million tons in what is seen as a good start to meet the full-year output target of 90 million tons.

This was said by Dileep Srivastava, Director at Bumi Resources to Petromindo.com on Tuesday. He said that in January 2016 the company booked around 6.5 million tons of coal production.

Bumi operates two coal subsidiaries namely PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) and PT Arutmin Indonesia. About 64 million tons of this year?s coal output is expected to come from KPC.
