IDX-listed Bumi Resources Tbk stated that the dispute between the company and its contractor doesn't have an impact on Arutmin's coal production.

"So far Arutmin's production is around 2 million tons per month," Dileep Srivastava, Director and Corporate Secretary of Bumi Resources told Petromindo.com Monday.

"In May 2013 we expect sales to exceed 7 million tons," he said, adding that another Bumi's subsidiary, KPC is on a major outperform. "No real impact of Thiess on our sales guidance of 74 m tons in 2013 compared with 68 m tons in 2012," he reiterated.

As for the prediction of the half year production until the end of June, Dileep admitted that he has not the number yet. "But, it is far ahead of last year's," he said, adding that coal mined was 32.4 million tons in first half year of 2012, while in the first quarter of 2013 alone the coal mined was 19.6 million tons or in first quarter of 2013 it was already 60.5% of half year 2012. "In the second quarter of 2013 we expect the production to reach 19 million tons," he ended.
