Bumi?s shares suspended from trading

The Jakarta Stock Exchange on Tuesday suspended share trading of coal mining firm PT. Bumi Resources (BUMI) on the ground that the company?s had not fully disclosed ?material information? regarding transaction the company made.

JSX did not give further detail about the transaction, but only saying that the decision was made to irregular price fluctuation. JSX also said it was asking BUMI to provide clarification.

JSX said the share trading suspension was effective from Tuesday December 9 until further announcement.

Shares of BUMI had been significantly increasing from Rp.185 early this month to Rp. 285 on Monday.

BUMI is currently Indonesia?s largest coal producer, controlling PT. Kaltim Prima Coal and PT. Arutmin Indonesia. (alex)
