PT Bumi Samudra Perkasa, a regional state owned enterprise (BUMD) owned by the Tanjung Jabung Timur government, broke ground on May 27 for a CNG project in Riau, upstream authority SKK Migas said on Tuesday.

Tirat S. Ichtijar, head of SKK Migas Southern Sumatra Representative Office, told Petromindo that gas for the CNG plant will be sourced from PetroChina Jabung at a volume of 5 mmscfd.

The project is expected to come onstream mid-2016.
