Bumi says coal supply talks with Endesa ongoing

JSX-listed energy firm PT.Bumi resources said talks with Spanish power generating firm Endesa Group are not yet concluded.
?Talks are still ongoing and no conclusion had been reached regarding price, volume and length of contract,? Dileep Srivastava, Bumi Senior VP Investor relations told Petromindo.Com on Friday.
Endesa plans to import up to 5 million tonnes per annum of Indonesian subituminous coal starting 2008 to fuel its 1,400-MW As Pontes power plant in La Coruna. The plant is currently undergoing transformation to enable burning of more environmentally-friendly Indonesian coal to replace local lignite which has high sulphur content. (denny)
