Bumi will host public expose soon

Publicly-listed PT Bumi Resources Tbk (Bumi) will hold a public expose to explain about its failed divestment of its subsidiaries and future business plans, Kompas daily reported Monday.

The expose will be held most possibly on Tuesday (August 29) at the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) building.

?We will explain to the public so that the stock exchange can lift its suspension of (trading) of Bumi shares,? Bumi?s corporate secretary Geroad Jusuf, said in Jakarta on Sunday.

Earlier, the stock exchange management has asked Bumi not to make any statement, which can create more confusion in the market, before the public expose.

?We have received the letter from the JSX which asked us to explain to the public and the stock market,? Geroad said.

JSX director Erry Firmansyah said the temporary suspension will in place as long as Bumi has not hosted the public expose.

? Bumi must explain to the public why it can?t sell its subsidiaries,? Erry said. (*)
