Bunga Mas postpones drilling program to October

Bunga Mas International Co., a subsidiary of Asia Pacific Exploration Consolidated (APEC) Indonesia Limited, has postponed drilling campaign for the Bunga Bakung-1 exploration well in the Bunga Mas block, onshore South Sumatra for several months as it has yet to secure a rig for the program, according to upstream authority SKK Migas

Head of Survey and Drilling Division at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Arief Fanzuri told Petromindo.com on Monday that the drilling of the well is now scheduled to start in October, compared to the earlier schedule of March 2014.

Arief said the firm is now in the process of conducting a rig provision tender.

Located in southwest of Palembang, South Sumatra, the Bunga Mas block is 51 percent owned by Bunga Mas International Co. (operator), 25 percent by PT Bunga Mas Energy, and 24 percent by Dorato Fiore Pacifico Ltd.
