Hasan Saad, the vice president of PT Arun said that main buyers such as South Korea and Japan would continue to buy from the company despite the incidence.
?Our export plan to the two countries for 2002 has met our target of 109 shipments, or equivalent to 13,625 metric tons,? he was quoted as saying by Suara Karya daily.
Speaking to reporters at the launching of the company?s last shipment in 2001, Hasan said that overseas buyers mostly understood the problem faced by PT Arun.
He believed that with such overseas confidence, the company would be able to continue to exist until 2014 when the company is expected to end its LNG production due to the depletion of the gas reserves.
PT Arun stopped its LNG production for five months from March to August last year after its natural gas supplier PT ExxonMobil Indonesia stopped its production due to security reason.(*)
