The planned 2x7 MW coal-fired power plant in Buntok, Central Kalimantan, will need coal supply of 175,000 tons per year.
State-owned electricity firm PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), as the owner of the project, will determine the coal supplier, said Sylvia Situmorang, Corporate Secretary of IDX-listed engineering firm PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk, which has been appointed as the EPC contractor for the project since 2010.
Silvia, however, said that PLN has decided to suspend the project. ?We don?t know why PLN suspends the project. But we continue to coordinate with PLN to resume the project later on,? she said.
