Oil and gas company PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) which operates in Riau province plans to launch a program called Local Business Development, which is designed to help local businesses to win contracts offered by CPI, according to a report in a local media.
The report said that the participants of the program would include small and medium-sized businesses which are potential to become suppliers to CPI and also existing company suppliers.
Local businessmen have earlier criticized CPI for giving most of its business contracts to companies coming from outside the province including foreign companies.(*)
