Caltex?s data networks improved

Technology services companies Schlumberger Sema and Cisco Systems have completed their work of installing computer networks using Gigabit Ethernet technology for the operations of oil producer Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) in Riau, Koran Tempo daily reported Thursday.

The networks will increase CPI?s capacity to transmit data between its offices in Riau. The offices can exchange data through the networks any time.

CPI, Indonesia?s largest oil producers, operates several oil fields in Riau. It is the Indonesian unit of world energy giant ChevronTexaco. (*)
