Caltex's foundation donates Rp750 million to WWF Indonesia

A social foundation of oil producer PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) on Friday donated Rp750 million (US$1=Rp8980) to WWF Indonesia for the preservation of tigers and elephants in Sumatra.
The donation was part of the cooperation agreement signed on Friday by CPI?s foundation YSCTI and WWF Indonesia which deals with environment protection.
The Rp750 million is for WWF Indonesia?s activities in the coming three years, it said in a press release.
CPI is a unit of US energy giant Chevron Texaco which has oil mining operations in Riau, Sumatra. (Leo)
