Canada?s Continental plans fuel refinery in E. Kalimantan

Canada?s Continental Energy Corp plans to develop a fuel refinery at the Maloy Industrial and International Port Zone (KIPI) in East Kalimantan, with construction work expected to start in 2018.
This was said by East Kalimantan Governor Awang Faroek Ishak following a meeting with Continental Chairman and CEO Richard L. McAdoo on Thursday as quoted by provincial administration statement.
Awang said that Continental through its local subsidiary PT Continental Hilir Indonesia (CHI) will develop the project in two stages, the first of which with capacity of 6,000 bpd to start contruction in 2018 with investment of US$50 million, and the second stage with capacity of 18,000 bpd and investment of $100 million to start construction in 2019.
No further details about the project were provided.
