Candidates submitted for Pertamina top post

Chief Commissioner of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Tanri Abeng, has proposed three internal candidates to be selected as the new president director of the company.

A source told Petromindo.com on Friday that the names of the three candidates, who were selected from the company?s current board of directors following recent assessment test, have been submitted to State Minister of State Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno. Pertamina?s board of directors currently comprises of seven people.

The source, who declined to disclose the names of the three, also said that five candidates from outside Pertamina have been proposed to Rini, who will submit the final name to hold the Pertamina top post to President Joko Widodo for approval.

The government dismissed on February 3 Dwi Soetjipto from the post of president director of Pertamina and Ahmad Bambang from the post of vice president director due to conflict between the two top officials. The government installed Yenni Andayani, Pertamina Director of Gas as acting president director of the company.
