Capitalinc unit to conduct 2D seismic survey in East Kalimantan

PT Kutai Etam Petroleum (KEP), a subsidiary of IDX-listed investment firm PT Capitalinc Investment Tbk., is planning to carry out a 2D seismic acquisition in West Tutung within the Seinangka-Senipah PSC onshore East Kalimantan, according to a top official of the firm.

"We will conduct 2D seismic survey along 200km in West Tutung in August 2015," Capitalinc's President Director, Vinayak told Petromindo.com at the company's Analysts and Investor Meeting Jakarta, Monday.

The company reported earlier that it will spud the Bantuas-1 wildcat well in the block in July of this year.

Director of Capitalinc Hendrayanto M. Sakti added that now his company has commenced to conduct the rig tender.

In January this year, the firm announced that KEP has been given by the directorate general of oil and gas two years and six months (from Dec. 12, 2014 through June 12, 2017) in ?replacement time related to swap area?. The PSC was signed on Dec. 12, 2004.
