Celebes Railway Indonesia appoints new president

PT Celebes Railway Indonesia has appointed Siswantono as President Director for the 2026 term onward, the company said in a statement.
He replaces Rully Noviandar, who served as President Director for the 2024 to 2026 period.
Celebes Railway Indonesia was established on February 6, 2019. The company is responsible for the operation and maintenance of railway infrastructure in South Sulawesi, particularly the Makassar to Parepare line.

The company manages railway infrastructure including tracks, stations, signaling systems and bridges along the corridor. The Makassar to Parepare railway is the first rail line in Sulawesi and serves passenger and freight transport.
Celebes Railway Indonesia is a consortium comprising PT PP (Persero) Tbk, PT Bumi Karsa, PT China Communications Construction Engineering Indonesia and PT Iroda Mitra.
In 2025, the company carried out a divestment step to focus on its core business development. It also uses track geometry trolley technology for rail inspection to support operational safety.
