Cenko decides to look for new coal resources in Riau

Publicly listed company PT Central Korporindo International (Cenko) reported Tuesday it had decided to look for new coal resources in Riau province as the coal reserve it had discovered in Rakit Kulim district of Indragiri Hulu regency is too small for development.

Cenko earlier said it had found a total of 2.1 million tons of indicated coal reserves in Rakit Kulim. The reserve, however, is not enough to supply the coal needs of two power plant it is building in the province.

Each of the two power plants in the province has the capacity of 2x7-megawatt. According to Cenko, both power plants are nearly half complete. (Robert)
