Cenko, Tanah Laut regency in coal exploitation deal

JSX-listed coal trader Central Korporindo (Cenko) had signed MoU with Tanah Laut regency administration to develop the latter?s coal block called Antasena, Banjarmasin Post daily reported Friday.

Under the MoU, Tanah Laut regency will be entitled to receive Rp.9, 000 (US$ = Rp. 9,400) from each ton of coal produced by Cenko.

According to the daily, the mine is expected to commence production next month, with production targeted between 30,000 ? 50,000 per month.

Antasena block is one of the three blocks in the regency that are owned by coalminer Arutmin Indonesia but contracted to the regency?s business arm called PD Aneka Usaha Manuntung Berseri. (*)
