Central Korporindo signs MOU with Taiwan buyer

South Kalimantan-based coal trader Central Korporindo Tbk (CNKO) said Thursday that it had sign a memorandum of understanding with a power producer in Taiwan allowing the former to supply the latter with around 30,000 tons of coal monthly.
?We have sent our product sample and we expected that the sales and purchase agreement will be signed soon,? CNKO said in a statement to the Jakarta Stock Exchange, but it did not identify the buyer.
CNKO also said it had secured a contract to supply around 17,500 tons monthly to a local buyer.
CNKO, whose operation is based in Tanah Laut Regency, has the supply capacity of around 112,531 tons of coal annually. The company plans raise the capacity to 197,508 tons this year. (robert)
