Central Omega?s director tenders resignation

IDX-listed PT Central Omega Resources Tbk said that company Director Ciho Darmawan Bangun had on May 23 tendered his resignation.
The company said in a statement that the resignation will be discussed at an extraordinary shareholders meeting of the company scheduled for June 14, 2016.
Darmawan, a graduate in chemical engineering at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), was appointed as director of Central Omega in March 2013. He was chief operating officer of IDX-listed integrated nickel mining firm PT Vale Indonesia Tbk before joining Central Omega.
Central Omega?s subsidiary PT COR Industri, which is 40.5 percent owned by China?s Macrolink Group, has recently completed construction of a 100,00-ton per annum nickel pig iron smelter in North Morowali, Central Sulawesi. The company is currently in the process of developing a second 100,000-ton per annum NPI smelter in the same area, and plans a third to have a combined capacity of 300,000 tons per year.
