Central Omega unit obtains permit to export low grade nickel

IDX-listed mining company PT Central Omega Resources Tbk announced Friday that its subsidiary PT Mulia Pacific Resource has obtained key recommendation letter from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to export low grade nickel ores with purity of less than 1.7 percent.
The company said in a statement that Mulia Pacific has been allocated export quota volume of 700,000 wet metric tons of low grade nickel ores per year. The recommendation letter is necessary to get the export permit from the Ministry of Trade.
Mulia Pacific plans to start export of low grade nickel ores in September of this year.
Elsewhere, Central Omega said that it is also seeking low grad nickel ore export permit for another subsidiary PT Itamara Nusantara. ?We?re currently waiting for the export recommendation letter for PT Itamara,? said Central Omega Director of Operation, Kurniadi Atmosasmito in the statement. (*)
