Independent power producer PT Cirebon Energi Prasarana (CEPR), a sister company of PT Cirebon Electric Power (CEP), is expected to obtain the environmental impact assessment (or AMDAL) approval for its 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant project by early April 2016.
President Director of CEPR, Heru Dewanto told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the problem related to the national spatial master plan (RUTR) as one of the requirements for attaining the AMDAL approval has been solved.
?Now we are in the process for obtaining the AMDAL approval, we expect by early April we should have the approval,? Heru said. He added, once the AMDAL has been approved, financial closing for the project is expected in June 2016, to be followed by ground breaking.
?If the financial closing can be done in June, we will immediately start the ground breaking for construction,? he said.
CEPR is a consortium comprising of Marubeni Corporation, Indika Energy Tbk, Samtan Co. Ltd, Korea Midland Power Co. Ltd, and Chubu Electric Power Co. Inc.
