Cepu oil production averages 99,000 bopd this year

The government expects oil production from the Cepu block in East Java will average 99,000 bopd this year, while its peak production of 165,000 bopd will be reached in September or October 2015.

"What is more important for this year is the average production rather than the peak production," I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmadja, acting Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources told Petromindo.com.

He added that the government has been holding discussion with all the shareholders of Cepu block. "And, the peak production target of Cepu block should not be delayed again," he insisted.
