CG Power to start production of high voltage switchgear in Q2

Electricity component maker PT CG Power Systems Indonesia plans to start production of high voltage switchgear at its new plant in Cikande, Banten Province, in the second quarter of this year, Kontan reported on Thursday.
The paper quoted Rupinder Kumar, Head of Global Sales Network at the company, as saying that initial production capacity will be 150 Kw, which will be later increased to 500 Kw. ?Trial production will be made in the second quarter of 2017,? he said.
The high voltage switchgear plant is a joint venture with PT PLN Enjineering, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN. Construction of the US$25 million plant started in September of 2015.
CG Power Systems Indonesia also operates a transformer manufacturing facility in Cileungsi, West Java Province. (*)
