Challenger targets 50,000 tpm from Tabang

Canadian junior firm Challenger Deep Resources Corp. targets to produce 50,000 tons per month (tpm) from its ATRP property, the first of the Tabang thermal coal project in East Kalimantan.

The company's presentation states that it would also build jetty/stockpile at Belayan river located at Penoon within ATRP area with a 6 kilometer haul road to mine site.

The presentation did not give exact time for the production to commence, but it also unveils the company's plan to establish jetty/Stockpile area on the Mahakam Rriver as coal transfer station to facilitate blending, FOB barge sales and stockpile.

The second stage of production target is from Inhuwa Purba mine site with 100,000 ton per month.
