IDX-listed integrated petrochemical company PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk announced Friday that its naphtha cracker in Cilegon, Banten Province, has resumed normal operation following a minor fire incident on June 10.
The company said in a statement that there has been no significant impact on the company's operations and cost due to the minor fire incident at one of the furnace units, which was successfully contained by internal fire fighters. One employee suffered minor hand burns from the incident.
?The company will ensure to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future, and will further improve and strengthen the safety and security that always become a top priority in plant operations,? the company said.
According to company website, Chandra Asri operates the only world-scale size naphtha cracker in Indonesia producing petrochemical products such as ethylene, propylene, py-gas, and mixed C4.
