Chevron commences E. Kalimantan gas field production

US oil and gas giant Chevron Corp. has commenced gas production from Sapi field, which is located in East Kalimantan offshore PSC, a BPMIGAS official said on Tuesday.
BPMIGAS Deputy Chairman in charge of operations told Petromindo.Com that the field, which commenced production early last month, has currently contributed 35 MMCFD to Bontang LNG plant. The field is expected to increase production to 50 MMCFD.
Chevron has 100 percent interest in the block, currently contributes 190 MMCFD of gas from its East Kalimantan gas fields to Bontang LNG plant. (godang)
