Chevron expects winner for NDD Area 13 EPC announced soon

PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) said it expects the government to approve and award the bidding winner for the construction contract of the North Duri Development (NDD) Area 13 expansion project in mid 2012.
The NDD Area 13 project is located within the Rokan PSC, the contract of which will expire in 2021.
The upstream authority BPMIGAS and CPI announced the EPC Contract tender for the NDD Area 13 in mid of last year. Chevron expects the construction of the NDD expansion project to commence next year.
Total Duri crude production is now around 199,000 barrels per day, but will increase significantly in future when the North Duri Area 13 is developed.
The Duri field, discovered in 1941, is one of the world's largest steamflood projects. Steamflooding, in use since 1985, has more than tripled oil production, and has enabled the recovery of more than 2 billion barrels of crude oil.
Chevron has 100 percent interests in the Rokan and Siak PSCs onshore Sumatra.
The North Duri Development is divided into multiple expansion areas.
The company?s net oil−equivalent production in 2011 from its interests in Indonesia averaged 208,000 barrels per day, composed of 166,000 barrels of liquids and 253 million cubic feet of natural gas.
