SKK Migas wants Chevron Indonesia Company (CICo) to quickly complete the necessary final investment decision (FID) for the Indonesia Deepwater Development (IDD) project in the Makassar Strait, East Kalimantan.

?To my knowledge, they (CICo) have yet to decide on the FID of the IDD. This is related to the internal problem,? SKK Chairman Rudi Rubiandini told Petromindo.com Thursday.

SKK Migas Deputy for Planning, Widiyawan Prawiraatmadja also confirmed that the oil and gas regulator has yet to receive the FID from CICo. ?We?re waiting for Chevron to quickly (submit) the FID,? he said.

Widiyawan said that the IDD project is scheduled to be on stream in April 2015 for the Bangka field, November 2016 for Gendalo field, and May 2017 for Gehem field. He said that Chevron Indonesia is currently conducting EPC work at the IDD project.

Separately, Chevron Indonesia Company Vice President for Government and Public Affairs, Yanto Sianipar said that the company will soon finalize the FID. ?FID for the IDD project will be made in the second quarter of 2013, in line with the (existing) schedule. Chevron is currently preparing the various requirements for the FID. It?s still in line with the schedule,? he explained.

He added that the company?s management is currently also focusing on trying to resolve the on going alleged graft case at its bioremediation project in Riau. ?We want this bioremediation case to be quickly over.? Yanto said that going forward, the company?s entire activities will depend on the issue of legal certainty in Indonesia.
