Chevron plans seismic survey on West Papua III

Chevron Indonesia Company is preparing for a 3D seismic survey on its West Papua III block later this year.

Senior VP Chevron Indonesia Yanto Sianipar told petromindo.com that the survey is expected to be completed early next year.

?After the seismic survey, we?ll decide on whether or not to carry on with drilling activities. By early 2013 we expect the survey to be concluded,? he said.

Chevron has a 51 percent operating interest in West Papua III, an onshore exploration block.
