Chevron?s foreign crew boats banned from operating

The transportation ministry has banned two foreign crew boats Workover FF-1 and Workover FF-2 from operating in the Indonesian waters for violating the country?s shipping regulation.
The ministry said that it could not issue a permit for the two boats to operate in Indonesia because they had previously used illegal documents. The two boats are operated by PT Chevron Indonesia.
?We are consistent with the existing regulation. The two boats cannot be allowed to operate because they have used illegal documents,? the ministry?s spokesman Bambang S. Ervan told Bisnis Indonesia. (*)
