Chevron's Q2 Indonesian liquids output down 5%

U.S. oil giant Chevron Corp reported Friday its Indonesian net liquids production had declined by 5 percent to 193,000 BPD in the second quarter of 2005 from 203,000 barrels per day (BPD) in last year?s corresponding quarter.

Chevron?s subsidiary PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia operates three production sharing contracts in Central Sumatra. Meanwhile, Chevron itself has a 25 percent non-operating interest in the South Natuna Sea Block B, which is operated by ConocoPhillips.

Chevron Indonesian net liquids production reached approximately 222,000 BPD last year. (robert)
