Chevron short-lists NDD Area 13 EPC contractor candidates

PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia, a unit of US energy giant Chevron Corp that runs Indonesia?s biggest oil production blocks in central Sumatra announced on Monday that four consortia have passed PQ tender for North Duri Development Area 13 EPC contract.

The four consortia are:
1. PT Rekayasa Industri-PT Multi Structure
2. PT IKPT-PT Bangun Bejana Baja- PT Rifansi Dwi Putra
3. PT. Raga Perkasa Ekaguna-PT. Waskita Karya-PT Gunanusa Utama Fabricators
4. PT Wijaya Karya-PT Inhwa Indonesia-PT Singgar Mulia.

BPMIGAS Vice-chairman Hardiono said on May 2011 that the project will become onstream in the fourth quarter of 2013 with peak rate of around 17,000 BPD of oil in 2017.

The project is the extension of the previous North Duri Area 12 project, which currently produces around 42,000 BPD of oil.

Chevron currently produces 180,000 BPD of oil from Duri field. (bernard)
