Chevron to tender out Gendalo Gehem FPU EPC project

Chevron Indonesia Company (CICo) will launch a prequalification tender for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the Gendalo Gehem FPU natural gas project, a deepwater project located in Makasar Strait offshore East Kalimantan.
Registration period is set on January 16-20, when interested bidders could obtain the necessary documents, which they have to fill up and submit to the auction committee on February 20-22.
The committee will also hold a meeting at the company?s office to brief interested bidders about the detailed scope of works on January 17. It is open for public, including those who have yet to obtain the registration documents. Another meeting is scheduled for January 24 for interested participants who have obtained the registration documents.
In addition to technical requirements, experience becomes another key deciding factor. For single participant, it has to have track record in similar field with a minimum combined project of US$1 billion, or those who have been in the oil and gas business for at least one year with a minimum contract value of US$250 million. For a partnership of more than one company, the figure goes up to US$350 million.
