Chinese independent firm JOVO has bought two and a half standard cargoes of LNG from the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan on spot market overseas.
?Pertamina (state owned oil and gas firm) has delivered four small cargoes to JOVO. JOVO uses a small-size cargo with a capacity of 85,000 cubic meters. So it can be said that JOVO had ordered a total of two and a half standard cargoes (4 x 85,000 m3 = 340,000 m3),? an industry source told Petromindo.
A standard cargo has a capacity of 125,000 cubic meters.
JOVO had previously ordered two standard cargoes of LNG. However, the purchase was cancelled because the company did not have vessel and approval from the government came too late.
This portal reported earlier that JOVO also purchased 0.5 uncommitted LNG cargoes from Bontang plant on the spot market overseas in December last year.
