China to open bidding for LNG supply in the next few days

?The information package and the invitation to bid will be issued, we are told, in the coming days,? chief executive officer of Shell Gas and Power International Linda Cook was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Indonesia was among a number of countries earlier considered by China National Offshore Oil Corp to supply LNG to the Guangdong?s three-million-ton-per-year-terminal. The other suppliers were Malaysia, Australia and the Middle East, it said.
Meanwhile, Shell said earlier that Northwest Shelf would be well placed to make the bid for the supply of some three million tons a year of LNG to China from 2006.
