Chinese firm in E. Java aggressive drilling campaign

Chinese firm SPE Petroleum is set to conduct 5-well exploration drilling in Madura PSC onshore East Java this year.

A company official told Petromindo.Com that the drilling will commence mid-June this year.

SPE Petroleum is an indirect subsidiary of Chinese oil giant CNPC.

The company won the block through direct-offer scheme in November last year. (alex)
