Chinese firm operates iron ore refinery plant in Padang

Chinese firm PT Gainet International Indonesia has launched the operation of its iron ore refinery plant in Padang, West Sumatra on Wednesday.

The plant which was built since 2009 with a total investment of US$4 million has the production capacity of 50,000 tons per month. The plant process iron ores from West Sumatra's areas of Agam, Sok Selatan, and Dharmasraya

Company president Yin Gou Shong said the plant produces export quality products and it has a wide network in the international steel industry that it would be easy for the the firm to increase its output in the future. (*)
