Chinese investor to build solar power plants in Ternate

China?s World Bridge Technology and Trade Beijing plans build solar power plants on a number of small islands in Ternate, North Maluku, it was reported on Saturday.
Spokesman of the Ternate Mayoralty Administration Thamrin Marsaoli was quoted as saying the Chinese investor will build solar power plants on the islands of Hiri, Moti and Batang Dua.
A manager of World Bridge Technology and Trade Beijing, Peter Pang has visited Ternate to discuss the project and sign a memorandum of understanding with the city administration.
Thamrin said the Ternate administration welcome the plan as the state-owned electric utility company PLN could not yet supply power for the three islands.
Thamrin said World Bridge Technology and Trade Beijing also plans to invest in the fishery sector in Ternate, especially on tuna fish processing industry.(*)
