Chris Newton named IPA chairman

The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) has appointed Chris Newton, the president director and the chief executive officer of PT Energi Mega Persada as the new chairman and Chris Prattini of Chevron and Supramu Santosa of Star Energy as vice chairman of the association for 2006 working period, Investor Daily reported on Monday.
Luca Bertelli of Eni was appointed as the secretary of the association and Rashid Mangunkusumo of Medco Energi as the treasurer.
According to the newspaper, the association board of executives for 206 working period comprises of executives of four local oil and gas companies, and nine representative offices of international oil and gas companies. (*)
