Chubu Energy Trading to import 3MT of Indonesian coal in 09

Japanese energy trader Chubu Energy Trading, Inc (CET) will import 3 million tones of coal from Indonesia this year, similar to last year?s volume.
CEO and Director Katsuji Noda told Petromindo.Com on Monday that CET imported Indonesian coal to supply fuel requirement of its parent company Chubu Electric Power.
According to Noda, CET, which was founded to years ago, imports 8-10 million tones of coal per annum, including some 60 percent from Australia.
In Indonesia, CET gets its coal supply from Kalimantan miners PT.Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) (1.5MT), Banpu Group (1MT) and Straits Group (0.5MT) under long-term contract.(denny)
