Churchill begins Scoping Study & appoints new geological consultant for coal project

UK firm Churchill Mining plc reported on Friday that as part of its ongoing activities at the East Kutai Coal Project(EKCP), East Kalimantan, it has appointed a number of new technical advisors as its moves forward in accessing and designing a development plan for the project.

Churchill has appointed Australian firm SMG Consultants to complete the ongoing JORC resource statement for the EKCP.

The first stage of the JORC resource statement is still on schedule for release in April 2008.

The Company has also appointed the Australian-Canadian owned, Trans Tek Engineering, to immediately commence a General Scoping Study on the EKCP. The study is broadly based and will consider all aspects of possible mining facilities, transportation infrastructure to port, ship-loading and port facilities.

Churchill has 75 percent stake at EKCP. (alex)
