Churchill in talks with ?int?l firms? to develop E. Kalimantan CBM prospect

UK firm Churchill Mining plc is in talks with international companies over the possibility of teaming up to develop its Sendawar coal-bed methane project in East Kalimantan.
?Churchill has initiated discussions regarding the eventual development of this project with international oil, gas and CBM companies for the provision of technical assistance, off-take agreements and potential joint ventures,? the company said on Thursday.
It did not give detail.
The Sendawar CBM project covers more than 800 square kilometres of prospective ground in close proximity to the operating coal mines and with potentially more than 5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, it claimed.
Churchill has 70 percent stake in Sendawar with local partner PT.Ridlatama Mining Utama controlling the balance. (alex)
