CIBT to distribute KPC?s coal

Coal terminal PT Cigading International Bulk Terminal (CIBT) is in the process of securing a cooperation agreement with global transshipment provider CSL Group to distribute coal produced by PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC).
Chief Operating Officer of CIBT Norlent Pasaribu said last Friday that the firm expects the cooperation could take effect in October this year. ?The cooperation aims to distribute KPC?s coal directly to our terminal. CSL will provide the transshipment vessel,? he said.
?CIBT will act as the distributor for KPC in carrying coal to coal-fired power plants in Java,? Norlent added.
CIBT, which commenced its first operation in April 2011, is a 95% owned subsidiary of Sinomast Metacorp (Labuan) Ltd; a 50:50 joint-venture company between Metacorp Berhad (Metacorp) and Indonesia?s PT. Bintang Sinomast Limited. Metacorp is a subsidiary of Malaysia?s conglomerate MTD Capital Berhad.
